Timber framing houses are present throughout Europe and not only, but nowhere else will you find so many as in Germany. Many small villages escaped destruction during the war and you will find entire towns full only of timber houses.
The “Fachwerkstrasse” is a famous tourist route 3000km in length which goes through Germany from north to south and passes through more than 100 cities with beautiful half-timber houses.
