Unbelievable. Only 10-15 minutes by car from where we live, in a small town of only 27.000 or so inhabitants, a 17-year old kid shot dead 16 persons. It seems he took the gun from his house (his father is a member in a gun club), went to the school and started by getting into a classroom and shooting 5 kids in the head. The he continued through other classrooms killing more kids and teachers. Eventually police showed up and the kid fled the scene. He forced a driver to take him to some town 40km south. There he got into a car dealership where he shot a salesman and a customer. A shootout with the police ensues, the kid is hit in the leg and then he kills himself.

Yesterday evening we stopped at Schlecker on our way home. When we parked and got out of the car, we noticed in the car next to ours two small kids locked inside, one of them was actually crying. The parents were nowhere to be seen.
We just looked around a bit but nobody came so we hoped their mother will just show up soon. We went inside, did our shopping but when we got back to the car after some time, the kids were still inside. This time another guy was also around the car, most likely wondering what kind of idiot would lock his/her kids in the car and leave. As were we.
The kid was still crying so Freya just calls the police. While she was talking to them the “mother” shows up, walks up to the car ignoring the four persons looking at her crying kid and gets into the car.
I mean, excuse my french, but what the fuck !? How can you leave your kids like that ? The windows were completely closed too so what happens if the “mother” gets delayed for some reason ? I imagine in extreme cases those kids could’ve suffocated. And what’s the big deal with taking them into the supermarket with you ?
As Freya said, some people don’t deserve to have kids.
