Hamburg, again

This time no longer a business trip, but a vacation of sorts. Initially we planned to stay there for one night but later extended that another day so we have a little bit more time. This was more or less our Christmas “vacation” for this year, since we didn’t manage to go anywhere else.

The weather didn’t really cooperate but at least it only rained 50% of the time. Surprisingly enough, it was slightly warmer than at home. Even though it wasn’t enough time to visit much, the city is nice and it gets our approval. Some pictures, made at night:

Moon and Venus

The night sky showing the Moon and Venus, as seen in a break during my night drive to my lovely workplace. It’s true, it kinda sucks to leave at 4:00am in order to be at work at 7:00 am and then spend 10 hours there.

But what can you do, you gotta take joy in the little things you find. At least you have empty autobahns and you can zip along with no worries for radars. And every now and then you can see some pretty sights like the one above.

Walk at night

Today we took advantage of the fact that spring came (finally!) and we went out for a walk through our little town. Tonight it’s the first time we go out for a walk since we moved here. Up to now there was no time and it was kinda cold and ugly outside anyway. It’s an old town with old streets and old houses but it’s a pleasure to walk around. It’s like traveling back in time.
